I know I can't be the only one who has tons of jewelry and accessories but no good way to organize all of it. Add to that, my 8 year old daughter and her ever growing collection of accessories and jewelry. We are a hot mess of tangled necklaces and gobs of bracelets all thrown together if we aren't careful.
I'm sure there are tons of cutesy racks and stands made specifically for all of it, but I am not made of money and frankly, I would rather spend said money on the actual accessories and jewelry! So I did what most of us who are Pinterest addicts would do...I hopped on and found several solutions.
Those are just a few of the MANY pins I found dealing with organizing the beast that is jewelry. I took those ideas and came up with something similar that only cost a few dollars, getting the items from your local Lowe's or Home Depot. I want to say it was less than $10 for the wood and the hooks, I also got spray paint, but I haven't gotten around to actually painting them.
I bought a plain piece of chair rail wood and had Hubby cut it down for me making 2 pieces (there was enough left to make one more I believe). Then we took just simple little white hooks and screwed them into the wood.
I have 2 jewelry boxes with earrings and pins and even more necklaces and bracelets, but these are the ones I wear most often so they get put on the most easily accessible rack.
As you can see, it really is simple and keeps everything nicely organized so I can see pretty much what I have in just a glance. Now to actually take them down and paint them!
