Baby Update - 8 Weeks

I thought since there are so many people emotionally invested in this pregnancy that I would do some updates to keep everyone in the know with how things are going. I don't know if I will do an update every week, or just like once a month, but I'll start with an 8 week update since that happens this week.

How Far Along: 8 weeks

How Big is Baby: the size of a green olive

Maternity Clothes: No, but I have noticed my jeans aren't very comfortable anymore and so I've been wearing maxi dresses or yoga pants

Sleep: ah sleep...I am usually up a couple of times a night to pee and it takes a while to get comfortable. I'm also finding myself taking at least one nap in the afternoon for anywhere from an hour to 3

Food Cravings: fresh strawberries, spaghettio's and a shredded beef chimi from carolina's

Food Aversions: enchiladas (I want to hurl just thinking of the name), salad

Symptoms: morning sickness (should really be called morning/noon/night sickness at this point), breast tenderness, exhaustion, indigestion

Movement: Not yet, too early still

Gender: Won't know for about 10 weeks most likely

What I'm Looking Forward to: having more energy, morning sickness going away, feeling baby move

What I Miss: sleeping on my tummy

Next Appt: July 22, I will be 12 weeks and will have another ultrasound

Things are going well and I just keep trying to remind myself that the morning sickness is a sign that baby is doing well and it won't last forever. It is sinking in a bit more now that we've had 10 days to adjust to the idea of having a newborn again. Hannah is getting more excited, but she is still a little anxious since she doesn't know what to expect at all. We are trying to just include her in anything she wants to be a part of where baby is concerned and not push in areas she is not ready to deal with yet. We've picked out names although I haven't decided if I'll share them here or make ya wait ;)

We are headed to the beach for a week and I am so hoping the fresh air and ocean do me good. I've never camped on the beach, let alone been pregnant and camping on the beach! I'm sure I'll have lots of pics to share and stories to tell, so I'll see ya on the flipside!
