How Big is Baby:
A couple of weeks ago, I threw my back out. I already have back issues from a back injury that happened when I was like 19 (yes, for those keeping track that is almost 20 years ago). Anyhoo, I woke up one morning and literally couldn't walk, sit, stand, or lay down without extreme pain. I went to the chiropractor and he was able to adjust me, but he also suggested I get one of these lovely torture devices.
First off, that woman looks entirely too happy to be wearing that belly support. Second, I do not look nearly as happy when I'm wearing it.
Something else that's been fun are the pregnancy dreams. Wowza. I have had sexy time dreams about Josh Duhamel (Sorry Fergie) and a few other hot celeb daddies. I do think its funny how they are all dads and I'm having these sexy time dreams about them. Maybe I'll have a sexy time dream about a hottie who is not a daddy before this pregnancy is over ;)
Maternity Clothes: Aside from the lovely torture device, I'm still in my pre-pregnancy clothes, but t-shirts are getting shorter and yoga pants are getting a little too tight around the belly so I'm thinking it might be time for a few maternity pieces.
Sleep: Sleep is good when I can get it. I've been having more and more insomnia, but then after a few days of that I seem to just be so exhausted that my body will finally sleep pretty soundly for a few days or a week. I'm also finding myself napping again occasionally.
Food Cravings: No really strong cravings for anything. Except maybe apples and bananas. Oh and brownies.
Food Aversions: Still enchiladas. I just cannot. Blech.
Symptoms: No more nausea the last couple of weeks, hooray! Now we are on to the hips/back going out because of the way I'm carrying and the extra hormones that relax our joints and all that. FUN! Also, I came down with a sinus infection last week so I'm still getting over that. Something that I am just LOVING is how every time I cough, sneeze, laugh or move wrong I pee myself. So, that's SUPER fun! And yes, before I get tons of recommendations to do my kegals, I do them every day, several times a day. Apparently they are just not helping or I'm not doing enough.
Movement:My little man is extremely active. Like in constant motion it seems. My belly rolls and thumps and bumps all day and night. He's definitely more active in the afternoon and evening than in the morning, it's fun to sit and just watch my belly contort based on whatever he's doing in there. Amazing how just a few weeks can make such a huge difference in the way I can feel him. The other night he had the hiccups for the first time (that I felt anyway). It's an experience I tell ya.
What I'm Looking Forward to: Sleeping on my belly. Not peeing myself every 3.2 seconds. A banana margarita.
What I Miss: Sleeping on my belly. Being able to cough, sneeze, laugh and move without peeing myself every 3.2 seconds. Banana margaritas.
Next Appt: October 14th. Just a routine, no frills appt.
